What this is
Strut AI sits in a panel beside the manuscript, not in a separate tab. You highlight a passage, choose one named operation, and the request is answered with the project already attached to it. Highlight nothing and the whole document becomes the material for that run.
A blank chat forgets your argument every morning. You paste the brief, the research and the last three paragraphs again before you can ask anything useful. Here the project title, its central thread, its rough notes and its imported sources travel with the request automatically.
How it works

Select the material
Highlight the sentence, paragraph or section you want worked on, and the panel treats that selection as the material. With nothing highlighted it falls back to the whole document, so a structural request such as a critique sees everything.

Name one operation
Pick from expand, outline, strengthen, summarize, critique, tone, plot, rewrite, editorial report and title ideas. Each carries a fixed job description. Add a line of direction saying what must stay true, and expand accepts a target length.

Context comes with it
The request carries the project title, the central thread from the Structure panel, up to twenty rough notes, up to eight imported sources and your Voice Profile summary. Source text is read as material, never as instructions.

Review before applying
The result appears in the panel. Copy it, insert it after your selection, or replace the selection. Replacing shows a word-level diff first, and a version is written to history before anything is applied to the draft.

Watch the balance
The panel shows the tokens you have left and updates the moment an operation settles. Every run is also written into the project history feed beside document, version, note and source events, with the date it happened.
What it changes about the work
Nothing applies itself
No result is written into the manuscript by itself. You read it, decide, and apply it deliberately. The diff shows which words differ from what you had, so a suspicious rewrite is easy to refuse.
Your voice rides along
Paste writing that still sounds like you into the Writer Voice Profile and Strut AI analyses the pattern once. That summary is attached to later operations, so a strengthened paragraph tends to stay recognizably yours.

Strut AI is built for bounded jobs on material you supply. Every operation acts on a passage or document you already have, and each job description asks it not to invent evidence. The claim and the final text stay yours.
What can an operation see?

The passage you selected, your written direction, the project title and central thread, up to twenty rough notes, up to eight imported sources, and your Voice Profile summary. Material from your other projects is never included.
Can I undo an applied result?

Open Version history. A version is saved automatically before any AI insert or replacement, so the previous wording is one restore away. Restoring also preserves whatever is currently in the editor as a version of its own.
Do starter tokens reset monthly?

No. Free tokens are collected 2,000 a day, up to 50,000 in total, on the free plan. Only the Pro allowance of 1,000,000 tokens resets, and it resets at the start of each new calendar month, without carrying anything over.
